The NextStage Irregular Archive

  • Irregular #1, 22 Feb 08. This issue deals with why I started a newsletter, some answers to subscriber questions, Ms. Manli Chen and why people wanting to do US-China marketing may want to talk to her, FindMeFaster CEO Matt Van Wagner's Blog Bullpoop Meter (Matt has a different name for it), questions I have for subscribers, what I'll be looking at next and way at the end of this newsletter where I'll be when.
  • Irregular #2, 14 Apr 08. This issue starts with some reader comments on our first issue then goes into NextStage receiving the patent on our core technology. I wasn't sure if I write should about the patent at the start of the newsletter or closer to the bottom, then realized explaining it and what we do early would make the rest of what I write about much easier to explain. This will be an informative read (I hope) for folks who still aren't sure what NextStage does.
With that out of the way we move onto the Society for New Communications Research's NewComm Forum and somewhere near the middle offer some answers to a subscriber question on getting website visitors to tell the truth.
Next we touch on Eric Peterson's Engagement Project and way at the end of this newsletter where I'll be when.
  • Irregular #3, 29 Apr 09. Welcome to 2009. As you can see, I've kept my promise not to email you unless I thought there is something interesting to share. Oddly enough, the online versions of the newsletter continually get traffic. Go figure.
Reader comments on the last newsletter.
Answering some Reader Questions. First on how men and women view images differently ("I've done some small level testing, and am amazed that you can show the same image and men and women come away with a really different interpretation."). Second, learning the vernacular of online analytics testing.
Where I'm blogging and on what.
Are you a world class marketer? I hope not!
We did a little testing...actually, we didn't do the testing, we contracted with some independent researchers to conduct a test for us. The purpose was to determine ET's ability to predict gender and age of online visitors and the results will be public next week. We did good. Or good enough. I'll provide links on the newsletter webpage once we go public, plus provide a link to the whitepaper describing all the gory details for those interested (ever read one of my whitepapers? You won't be interested).
